1. Solar Panels
Solar panels are mounted on the roof or grounds of your property. They collect
sunlight and convert it into DC power.
2. Inverter
The DC power is sent to an inverter which converts DC power into AC power which
is the same power that you use in your home.
3. Electrical Panel
Power travels from the inverter to your breaker box. The power from the electrical
panel is distributed to any electrical loads in your home.
4. Electric Meter
When excess power is produced by your solar system, the power will flow into the
grid through your electric meter. When you generate more electricity than you use,
your meter spins backwards, lowering your electric bill.
5. Utility Grid
All excess electricity generated is stored in the utility grid for future use.
